Plagne Centre, in the very heart of the resort
The well-known resort in the Tarentaise, La Plagne, and more specifically Plagne Centre, has been welcoming skiers since 1961. Having started with just two chairlifts and four runs, the resort has since made considerable investments. An extensive and well-equipped ski area, a varied range of accommodation, and shops and entertainment at your fingertips... let us take you to the heart of the resort, Plagne Centre.
Plagne Centre: access a unique ski area
Located at an altitude of 1970 metres, Plagne Centre is the life and soul of the La Plagne resort, which consists of 11 resort villages. From Plagne Centre you can access the entire 225-km ski area using the Funiplagne Grande Rochette lift, which will take you up to an elevation of 2505 metres, or the various free shuttles that run to the other mountain resort villages. The area includes: 134 ski runs for all abilities, more than half of which are blue, 2 converted glaciers, 1 fun slope, 1 snowpark, 3 boardercross tracks and 2 giant airbags, so everyone can enjoy the thrills of skiing or snowboarding, with friends or as a family.
Since 2003, the Vanoise Express cable car has provided a 5-minute connection between La Plagne and Les Arcs/Peisey-Vallandry, from Montchavin-Les Coches. Meanwhile, you’ll have access to the second largest ski area in the world, Paradiski, which opens the door to a total of 425 km of runs. That’s right, you’ll have plenty to be going on with!
