Ski hire Livigno
The Italian Alps town of Livigno in Lombardy is nicknamed “Little Tibet”. The resort’s many chalets lend it an authentic and very agreeable air, which just gets better thanks to its position on a south-facing Alpine slope which means that it enjoys exceptional sunshine.
Livigno’s ski terrain is a favourite among advanced skiers and reaches an altitude of 2,900 m with constant snow cover throughout the season. This area offers skiers 115 km of pistes with something for all ability levels. Indeed, the most adventurous skiers can enjoy 12 black runs and marked secure freeride zones during their holiday. Whilst beginners and intermediate skiers can progress through the many blue and red runs throughout their stay. There are also two snowparks and a boardercross run for freestylers of all ability levels. Mottolino, the first of these snowparks has four lines (S-M-L-XL) where beginners and pros can train and have fun on the rails, jumps and other modules. The second, Livigno Park Carosello 3000, is especially popular for its Big Air bag and music sound system.
And because there is more to life than alpine skiing, the resort also offers 30km of cross-country skiing divided into two circuits of 20 km and 10 km in length. The first of these loops is recommended for expert skiers owing to its steep vertical descent. A little added bonus is a 2 km run that is floodlit until midnight!
After your day of skiing if you still have energy left to burn, our tip is to try a Fat biking tour lasting about 20 km on a specially adapted bike. Besides that particular activity, you can also go ice-skating, ice climbing or even snowmobiling. For some relaxation, there is a cinema, bowling alley, ski rental outlets, and various excursions to explore the region. For après-ski, the resort offers lots of bars and chalets for a drink and to party.
For your ski rental needs, choose our Vertigo store which is ideally located on the doorstep of your accommodation at the foot of the slopes.
