Rougemont-Gstaad, the beautiful Switzerland
Rougemont-Gstaad is one of the most famous resorts in the world and not for nothing! Let's take a look at this Swiss jewel.
Rougemont-Gstaad: the kingdom of skiing
Rougemont - Gstaad is a resort that will delight lovers of downhill skiing thanks to its wide, more or less technical slopes, spread over 10 villages, a group called Gstaad Mountain Rides, one of the largest ski areas in Switzerland. The Gstaad area alone has 20 runs (58 km) served by 16 lifts. From the village of Gstaad at an altitude of 1,050 metres, you can directly access three ski areas: Eggli-Saanen-Rougemont, Wispile and Wasserngrat. But in reality, there are 220 km of slopes at an altitude of 3,000 metres above sea level, with access to the snowpark and Nordic ski areas.
Good to know: Rougemont-Gstaad, a family destination
Although Gstaad is the region's star attraction, you can also enjoy the typical mountain atmosphere in one of the surrounding villages (Saanen, Zweisimmen, Gsteig or Turbach), which are equally charming and often more affordable.
A vibrant resort life
Located in the Oberland, Rougemont-Gstaad offers a vibrant off-piste life. A popular resort for celebrities, it offers a multitude of activities. Once you've booked your ski hire, you can stroll through the pedestrianised town centre, where you'll find luxury boutiques as well as food and drink shops showcasing local know-how. At nightfall, Rougemont-Gstaad becomes a gourmet town where you can dine at prestigious tables or sip cocktails in tastefully decorated bars.
