Ski hire Saas Fee
Saas Fee, “Pearl of the Alps”
Surrounded by 10 peaks higher than 4,000 m, including the famous Dom, this resort promises downhill skiing in a spectacular setting.
A world-famous ski area
Located at 1,800 m altitude, the village of Saas Fee is your gateway to 145 km of slopes with something for all ability levels. With 22 ski lifts available including the underground funicular Metro Alpin that transports you up almost 500 metres, skiing at elevations of up to 3,500 m is possible! Fans of freestyle can indulge their passion to the fullest at facilities including the beginner zone near the village and another at 2,500 m altitude in Morenia. Snowboarders are not left out either thanks to the three snowparks in Saas Fee. Although there are just 6 km of cross-country trails in the ski area itself, enthusiasts can always take advantage of the further 26 km located in the valley.
Good to know: you can ski during the summer in the resort!
Thanks to its glacier, this is a popular resort for enjoying snow sports in the height of summer. Indeed, some 20 km of pistes are open in summertime. A word of warning, however, glacier skiing requires good ability and excellent equipment. So, feel free to visit one of the many ski hire shops to get advice from the skiing professionals.
Head out into nature
Snowshoeing, tobogganing, ice-skating and even bowls on ice: there is no end to the activities on offer in the resort! You can also catch the Metro Alpin to visit the world’s biggest ice grotto: the Ice Pavilion in Allalin. Relax a while in one of the spas or fitness centres or else take a leisurely stroll through the traffic-free village which also has plenty of shopping opportunities. Evenings are always buzzing in this resort where the bars, restaurants and nightclubs all have a friendly atmosphere. This resort delivers unforgettable panoramas in the heart of the Swiss Alps.
For your ski rental needs, head over to your Skiset shop which is located at the foot of the slopes.
