The Alpe d’Huez resort is among the largest ski areas in France, with its 250 km of slopes and its 81 ski lifts, including 3 aerial tramways, 9 gondola lifts, 23 chairlifts and 30 draglifts.
The Alpe d’Huez resort consists of a castle, a parish church, a village with around 80 inhabitants, and various industrial districts. Among its must-visit attractions are the Brandes Archaeological Site, the Théophile Cave and the L'Oisans Heritage Centre.
