Ski hire Champéry
Champéry, your entrance to the Portes du Soleil.
In Valais, in the heart of the Swiss Alps, Champéry is an old mountain village at 1055 m altitude at the foot of the dents du Midi, where you will spend a typical ski vacation.
Champéry may be a small village in Val D'Illiez, but it has everything to make your winter sports vacation a success. In addition to its 30 km of marked slopes, the village offers you access to one of the largest ski areas in the world, the Portes du Soleil, with 200 ski lifts serving 650 km of slopes.
The Champéry-Planachaux cable car and Grand-Paradis chairlift give you easy access to the 286 slopes of the ski area, which also includes 10 snow parks, 210 km of Nordic ski runs and nearly 300 km of snowshoe trails.
A typical village, accessible and perfectly equipped
Just 90 minutes from Geneva, you will find all the amenities you need for a successful ski vacation. Nearby stores and services allow you to do all your shopping on foot and enjoy the lively streets of the village. For your accommodation you can choose from a wide range of hotels, individual chalets, apartments and resort complexes with all comforts.
This will give you plenty of time to discover local traditions in a true postcard setting. Visiting a bell foundry, discovering how cheese is made and visiting one of the farms in the area will be of interest to young and old alike.
A place that moves
Once the slopes are closed, it's time for après-ski. Champéry offers you a wide range of activities: curling, fitness, skating, indoor swimming pools, snowshoeing, sauna, mountaineering, paragliding, snowkiting or even trampolining let you enjoy the mountains in a different way.
In the evening, Champéry has a cheerful atmosphere. There are several cafes, bars and mountain restaurants. Throughout the season there are concerts, folklore evenings, exhibitions and ski and snowboard races, so you will never get bored. And if you like to party, head to the town's discotheque, where evenings last until the wee hours of the morning.
Champéry is also a world-renowned ski resort, hosting unmissable events such as the Pass'Portes du Soleil VTT and the Giron des Musiques de la Vallée d'Illiez.
Good to know: skiing by the light of the stars!
Twice a week, Champéry's slopes go into overtime, allowing you to ski descents at nightfall. A total of 3 chairlifts and 1 T-bar lift will take you to the heights of the village and to the peaks.
